the Story of the Music Studio Mom
why i do what i do
My story is pretty simple.
The official start of my private studio was almost a decade ago and it has been such a privilege and joy to watch my students (of all ages) grow in their love of music! And then share it with others!
But truly it began many many years before!
For 23 years I homeschooled my four children, my foster children and a few others along the way. As my homeschooling years came to an end, my passion for exciting a love of learning in others grew stronger.
With some pretty wonderful opportunities and people that crossed my path, doors opened, enabling me to continue to nurture a love of learning in others through whole body piano lessons, theory lessons, and music camp.
With my classical piano training, Suzuki piano teacher training, certification as an Ultimate Music Theory Teacher, a UMTC Elite Educator, teaching homeschool co-ops (kindergarten – high school), leading worship, intentionally and creatively nurturing a musical environment in our home, amidst homeschooling for 23 years, opening a music studio was a natural next step!
So, I look forward to coming alongside you on your musical journey! My desire, through piano lessons, theory, and music camp, is to help you or your child learn, grow and then pass the gift of music on to others.
